Default HOW did I get away with that?

About a year ago, my monk was turning a year old and I was mighty tired of looking at her dragon tattoos, bitchin' though they were. So I perused a lot of galleries, spent some quality time in Skyward Reach, and proudly dressed her in brand new duds from Vabbi.

So I was strutting around in this new suit, and one of my friends comes online. Turns out he's doing Thunderhead Keep for the first time, and yes he certainly would like to have my help! So I go there, and I'm looking good and feeling fine, just barely keeping the snottiness under control as I ask my friend's PUG if they're all infused. They say they are, and away we go.

Infusion . . . the concept runs through my mind again as the Mursaat close in on us. I asked the team if they were infused and they said yes, so why am I still thinking about it?

Oh crap.

I'm not infused.

I, the fancy-pants monk, benevolently helping out the hapless noobs, did not have my shiny overpriced clothing infused.

Then the Mursaat arrived . . . and I survived, somehow. I stayed WAY back from the mobs, and none of them got past the front lines, so I didn't melt into a squealing puddle. But I deserved to.

So, have you had any moments like that? Occasions where you did something truly dumb, and yet escaped the consequences? Post the stories here!

Meh. I bite the bullet and carry on with the mission.
Then slap Olias for being bad with Prot Spirit, afterwards.

Tbh, though, sitting at high 500/low 600 health mostly, even the AI monks can save me before I asplode.

The other one I do too much is going to FoW in my 55 armour.
Yeah, that really teaches you to lern2kiteAI

When I MM I have the tendency to afk by minimizing GW and searching Guru. After all its a brainless task....

Anyways story goes I tried Hero/Henching The Eternal Grove, no success and no guildies were on at the time to ask for help. So I decided to sit back advertise for a pug, albeit heroes still made up the majority of the team. Then we were off, going through the mission I minimized every minute or so, even watched a few videos on youtube etc etc- no complaints from the group we were gunna get masters just fine. Then towards the end I noticed the last wave of mobs coming, I flagged my guys to the left side (where we believed the harder mob was coming) and stood with my back to the right side so my minions would stall the flank. Minimized, watched some video on gametrailers and decided to check in on GW. I was just in time to witness the last of my team mates to die, quickly I ran even further inside and everyone shouted if I had a res (I was so cocky that I didn't bring one in favor of a sig of capture, now normally I'd check if I even already had the skill or not, but I was feeling to lazy to do that) So regretfully I told them no and sat in the back as I thought of what to do. Then viola, I realized how many dead corpses were around so I started summoning up an army, faithfully my team mates waited it out. So I ran back going to defeat the rit boss and one afflicted assassin with my ten minions strong. Using death nova I wiped em out all no problem then wanded/death swarmed the rit to death. We made Masters, it was pretty epic.

Beat Divinity Coast with a wammo whose skill bar was filled with only adrenaline attack skills and monk healing spells, and in my party, only 1 monk... everyone left after 1 minute, I told the monk "Let's restart with another party" but he or she kept going and... we won... wow.

did the exact same thing on my necro, except it was Ring of Fire, thankfully we where doing the bonus. Funny thing is I didn't realize I wasn't infused until we was getting rdy to turn in the essance & I was looking to see if I had a scar that I needed infused & saw nothing was infused.

Ran a guildie from the Marketplace to Kaineng City for him to get armor. My guild leader joined the team in Kaineng to check out his new suit, and while we were there, teased some people in the outpost. Ended up running into a guy who wanted to pay 200-300g for a run from Kaineng to Marketplace. My guild leader said we should do that and give the money to the guildie who just blew all his savings on armor. It was a nice thought, although I wondered who'd be dumb enough to pay for a run from Kaineng to Marketplace.

Leaving the outpost, I was half-running while talking a whole lotta junk, too confident that the run would be a piece of cake... till a few minutes later when I realised I took a wrong turn and ended up at a dead end lol. I realised that the guildie and my guild leader had followed me to the dead end, and we had to backtrack and take the correct route.

It turned out that the dude who needed the run, ran himself, and us, to Marketplace. We were too embarassed to collect any money for that setback hehehe...

Ok I didn't get away with that one, but it we had ourselves a good laugh.

I often neglect to infuse my armour. Too much trouble.

But I laugh at the pathetic Mursaat and their Spectral Agony as my herohench team steamrolls them.

A similar situation happened to me, except i didn't have nice expensive armor, i had starter noob armor. I was helping a friend do a mission in Factions, asked if everyone had max armor and was infused, they did.

Yet max armor and infusion-the concept ran through my mind and i realized i didn't have max armor on, nor was i infused. I had completley forgotton i had noob starter armor on, i forgot to switch to the same armor set, but the max version.

Been in a simalar situation as OP. Though none of my armour, minus my Vabbian which I hardly ever wear anymore mind you, is infused at this moment in time. Never had a need for it, as I have Proph finished. (Not HM missions yet. Eeek, I should get around to doing that...)

Long story short, yeah, infusion. lol. Thanks for reminding me to get all my new duds infused. Have like 3 full sets that aren't. D:

Canthan Power beats Mursaat. Simply having a Canthan character alone wins 99% of the battle. The remaining 1% is pressing Enter Mission.
